Dr. Elias C. Deros is a Connecticut native having grown up in Rocky Hill and Wethersfield. He graduated with honors in Psychology and Biology from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York and then continued his education at The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Deros completed a one-year General Practice Residency at The Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey. He then came back to Connecticut and has been practicing dentistry for nearly 30 years.
Dr. Deros has held positions in Waterbury as a Clinical Instructor/ Active Staff at Saint Mary’s Hospital General Practice Residency and as The Chief of Dental Services at The Cheshire House, Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He has been an active member of the Connecticut State Dental Association since 1994 and a past member of the Membership Council, past President of The Dental Society of Greater Waterbury and current member of Hartford Dental Society. Recently Dr. Deros was asked to join The Connecticut Dental Foundation as a board member.
Dr. Deros believes in continuing education, quality dental health free from pain for all and taking care of patients with compassion and empathy. He is proficient in all aspects of General Dentistry including: crown and bridge and dentures, root canals, extractions as well as implant treatment planning and the “All on X” full mouth reconstruction. He has been trained in straight wire orthodontics and TMD treatment and is a certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Deros knows the importance of a proper smile and how it can give someone both confidence and self-esteem. He prides himself on being able to help treat the nervous, anxious phobic dental patient including the use of Triazolam for anxiety.
Outside of the office he stays busy with his wife, three children and three dogs (two Boston Terriers and a French Bulldog). Dr. Deros enjoys reading, occasionally playing golf and family travels to the Southern Maine coast and the shores of Cape Cod.
